Generous oil-baron collectors left behind quite a legacy to Tulsa including the Philbrook Museum of Art, the Gilcrease Museum and Tulsa’s Garden Center and Rose Garden.
The period between 1914 and 1929 saw the construction of a vibrant collection of churches in downtown Tulsa displaying ornate architecture ranging in style from Byzantine, to English Gothic, Tudor and finally Art Deco.
